Our Client, a newly established Qatari quasi government entity who delivers international project management services to key master developers for commercial, real estate, residential, leisure, and infrastructure projects seeks to appoint Health & Safety Managers for various locations in the Middle East and North Africa region, to facilitate the implementation of all Health and Safety procedures, reviews and updates on a major construction mixed-use developments Your duties will include:
• Facilitating the implementation of all Health and Safety procedures, reviews and updates. • Training of staff on safety initiatives. • Training and familiarization of staff with procedures, policies and documentation. • Conducting regular internal audits to ensure compliance with procedures. • Reviewing and commenting on contractors submitted OH&S Manuals and statements. • Supervising Health and Safety staff, assigning inspection schedules, training requirements and arrangements. • Continually improving Health and Safety implementation across the project by providing direction and guidance to main contractor’s and Health and Safety employees. • Maintaining statistical reports including a register of any incidents and accidents. • Ensuring all site based equipment complies with Health and Safety requirements and is correctly licensed for operation and use.
Key attributes for this role include:
• Appropriate Qualification in Health and Safety. • International safety accreditation highly regarded. • Membership of an international Safety organisation such as WSO, ISQEM. • Strong work ethic and communication skills. • Experience on major construction mixed use development projects. • Excellent written and spoken English.
